This frame is from Michael's. I think it was $2.50! I used A LOT of Scor Tape to cover it with that fun patterned paper. The sticker is from the same paper pack and I put it on a piece of Kraft cardstock and cut around it before putting it on the frame so that it wouldn't get creases in it from the ribbon. I'm giving this to a friend who recently had a baby girl.
I whipped up this little mat the other day when my friend had her baby boy. We brought it with us to the hospital that evening. The diamonds that I stamped in Hawaiian Shores don't show up very well in this picture, but they do IRL.
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We are planning an afternoon with friends down by the river tomorrow - should be great, as long as we can keep the mosquitos at bay!
Happy Friday!
~Anika

Anika, we are on the same wave length. I have frames that are just staring at me and I have been thinking of doing the same thing!! Thanks for the inspiration you did a fab job on these!!
Anika, these are great! I'll have to try working with frames in the future. I see them at Michael and the thought of painting them blahs me. Perhaps patterned paper is the key! :) Thanks much! Do you use Hodge Podge over them afterwords to seal them? Or just leave them as is?
I'm not much of a painter either, Ted - which is why I went with patterned paper! I did not put anything on this one to seal it. I just used scor-tape to adhere it to the front of the frame and wrapped it like a present around to the back...using more scor tape!
Ohhh, I love both of these!! My creative friend, wish you were to here to help me with some fun crafty projects!!
Super job in the frames! I really want to try that. I love them!
